3D Views of Juvenile Coho Presence in Oregon's MidCoast

Introduction Yaquina Bay Overview Yaquina Bay Olalla Creek Green River North Beaver Creek Salmon River/Drift Creek (Siletz) Technical Info

This image is a view of the Salmon River (near Lincoln City), Drift Creek (Siletz Basin), and the Devils Lake area. It uses a simple greyscale hillshade to represent topography and shows coho salmon juvenile presence and density from the 1998 and 1999 Rapid Bio-Assessment. Coho juvenile rearing density is indicated by the intensity of orange shading; darker bars represent higher density in a pool. The height of each bar indicates the number of juveniles counted in the pool at that point. The approximate range is from 150 to 1 or 0. Bars are all at the same scale and based at the level of the terrain.
