This image is a view of the Salmon River (near Lincoln City), Drift
Creek (Siletz Basin), and the Devils Lake area. It uses a simple greyscale
hillshade to represent topography and shows coho salmon juvenile presence and
density from the 1998 and 1999 Rapid Bio-Assessment. Coho juvenile rearing
density is indicated by the intensity of orange shading; darker bars represent
higher density in a pool. The height of each bar indicates the number of
juveniles counted in the pool at that point. The approximate range is from
150 to 1 or 0. Bars are all at the same scale and based at the level of the
terrain.
